Life at Savangarh

Savangarh was a small town and close to Savai village. In a farm house a couple Joseph and Fancy used to stay every year during winter season. The couple used to live a very simple life. They used to go for a walk, feed cows and buffaloes, visit temples and visit the nearby forest to take photographs of the animals. They used to take one month off from their busy life and spend quality time at Savangarh. They used to go to schools and donate books and stationary to children. They used to spend Christmas to New Year week in which they did social service. They used to distribute cakes and chocolates to kids. They kept themselves engaged in different activities that were helpful for them as well as for the villagers. Everybody knew they would come in December so the farm house used to be cleaned and washed before their arrival. There was a caretaker at the farmhouse. Everyone used to enjoy their stay and the couple used to enjoy the village life.

Nobody knew who they were and from where they used to come. They never used to share their information. They used to wear simple traditional clothes and that gave them the feel like a villager. One day there was a function at the village school and the couple was called to be part of it. They went there and were happy to see the kids perform skits and recite poems in English and Hindi. The city Superintendent of Police had come with his family as they belonged to Savai village. The duo was introduced to them. The S.P introduced himself as Shiva, his wife Barkha and his son Vakya.

Shiva told him that he was extremely happy with the development of the school and he would like the kids to become very successful in their life. He told them that he had studied in this school for three years when he was young. He also donated a cheque of Rupees one lakh to the school. He was facilitated at the school. Joseph had got a special gift for the school. He distributed a filter and cold water machine to the school. He wanted the school kids to drink cold water in summer season. He also set up a library at the school. He asked the students to read books and make reading a habit. Reading books gives you understanding of various things. After that you can analyze and derive new ideas from that. Everyone thanked him for his gesture and support. People are remembered for their deeds and so one must be a good human being first.
